Instructions on how to create Bitcoin wallets on Blockchain for storing / sending / receiving BTC

Quickly understand what a Bitcoin wallet is?

Simply understand that a bitcoin wallet is an account for you to store your bitcoins on the internet. When you want to receive Bitcoin from others, you just need to give them the wallet address, whereas if you want to send bitcoins to friends and relatives, you also need their wallet address.

The bitcoin wallet is structured as a series of numbers, characters that are very long and difficult to remember, for example Ngoc's bitcoin wallet on Blockchain will be:   123SUgbYJRczhnV9hSC3v5NsXC4y35ud6D

One person can own multiple bitcoin wallets because at each exchange (when you create an account) you will be given a bitcoin wallet, so you can also transfer your bitcoins from one exchange to another.

How many types of bitcoin wallets are there?

There are currently 2 bitcoin wallets, which are:

  1. Software  wallets : With this type of wallet you can install it on your personal computer or smartphone. You will have complete control of your bitcoins, but sometimes it will be difficult to install and store (few people use this type of wallet).
  2. Website  wallet : That is, you need to create a Bitcoin storage wallet at a certain website (currently the two most popular and most reputable websites to create Bitcoin wallet are  Blockchain.com  (Ngoc will guide in this article) &  Coinbase. com )

Instructions on how to create a Bitcoin wallet on Blockchain.info

Blockchain.info is a website that allows you to create wallets to store bitcoins for free. Blockchain is also the safest and most used BTC storage space today. Right below, Ngoc will show you how to register and create a wallet, send and receive Bitcoin on Blockchain.

Note: Blockchain is just a storage, sending and receiving platform, not a trading floor, buy / sell offline!

First to create a wallet you need to register an account, visit Page Home to register to open the wallet.

Enter your email address, create a password, select the terms and conditions, and click "Continue"

Ok, so you got the welcome message right away.

Now access your email, here:

  • Click "Yes, this is my email" to confirm
  • In the email, there will also be a Wallet ID (this is the wallet ID rather than the wallet address), this is the sequence for you to use to log in to the Blockchain later (Blockchain does not use users so you need to save it. This wallet ID )

After clicking the button in the email, successful confirmation will report as shown below.

You will now be asked to log in again, to log in you need to paste your Wallet ID and enter your password.

(Remember to keep this Wallet ID carefully, never give it to anyone else if you don't want to lose BTC)

However, Ngoc will guide you to enhance yet another layer of security with Goolge Authenticatior application.

After successfully logging into the Blockchain, select "SECURITY CENTER" -> Activate 2-step verification. Click the "On" button.

A window appears:

  1. Download the Google Authenticator app to your phone  (on the Appstore or Google Play depending on whether you use iOS or Android)
  2. Turn on the QR code scanning function on this application and scan the code offline
  3. Soon you will be given 6 random numbers (30 seconds change 1 time)
  4. Enter these 6 numbers and press the button  "Activate 2-layer security"

Notification of successful 2-step verification is shown as below.

From now on every login after entering your Wallet ID and password you will be required to enter 6 more random numbers on the Google Authenticator app to access it. This is exactly how 2-layer security works.

How to receive / send Bitcoin on Blockchain

Now to receive bitcoin you need to get the wallet address, go to "Receive"

Soon you will be provided with a sequence of characters, this is your Bitcoin wallet address on the Blockchain.

Copy this wallet address to send to others if you want to receive Bitcoin.

Bitcoin wallet address

Now Ngoc will try to transfer Bitcoin from Remitano to Blockchain, log in to Renitano and then select "BTC Wallet" -> "Withdraw"

Next you need to paste the bitcoin wallet address (wallet address on Blockchain),  enter the Bitcoin number you want to transfer and click "Send"

After about 15 minutes you will see the amount of Bitcoin transferred to the wallet on the Blockchain, where the Blockchain will also be converted into USD against the exchange rate at the time.

How to send Bitcoin

Above is you receive Bitcoin and now if you want to send bitcoin then go to the "Send"

Then paste the wallet address of the person you want to send Bitcoin to them. Enter the number of Bitcoin you want to send and click "Continue"

Epilogue

As such, this article is all about creating a Bitcoin wallet on Blockchain, the most prestigious website currently to store and send Bitcoin. Ngoc recommends creating a wallet on Blockchain to store BTC and avoiding Bitcoin on exchanges because the exchange is at a much higher risk of harking.

* The last important note in this tutorial is the Wallet ID, you need to keep this ID carefully because without it you will not be able to log into the wallet account on the Blockchain.
